Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals in their own homes. The Care Assistant will support clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity and well-being while adhering to care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
- Implement and follow care plans as directed by senior staff, adjusting support as necessary based on individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication and companionship.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when required, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices.
- Drive to various locations if required for home visits or community outings, ensuring safe transportation for clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and using care management software.
